Texas Bumps™ is a game where competitors, friends, families and even enemies, can all come together for an enjoyable day, afternoon or evening of billiards and have fun. VIP Billiards Dec 1, 2012

Congratulations to Matt Krah, who went through the field of 25 players undefeated, which included strong players such as Paul Adolini, Tommy Kay, Andy Lincoln, Marlon Alcaraz, Steve Ball, Kevin West, Fred Scott, Alan Duty, Dave Beegle and Sergey Bolotin.

Special thanks to Paul Adolini, Scott Emory and Kirk Dewease who came all the way from Waynesboro, PA.
Additional special thanks to Kevin West and Fred Scott who made the journey from the Eastern Shore.

Surprisingly, Alan Duty, Kevin West and Fred Scott did not finish in the money, which only proves there are no guarantees in this beautiful game of ours.

The races were extended slightly to 8/6 due to the smaller field, but that did not stop Matt Krah from sailing through the winner's side to the finish line, beating an ever-improving Sergey Bolotin in the first set of the Finals. Sergey is certainly becoming "tournament-tough" and it showed yesterday.

Thanks as always to the owners, Steve and Jessica Didier, who are extremely accommodating and always at the ready to help in any way.

Here are the results:

Matt Krah = $400
Sergey Bolotin = $250
Andy Lincoln = $150
Paul Adolini = $80
Steve Ball = $60
Matt Shilinski = $60
Stay tuned for the next event on January 26th. 2013.

The first In-House event at VIP Billiards yielded 37 players. I allowed the additional five players as this was my first event at a new location and I was not sure of the turnout. Future events will be capped at 32.

Many thanks to Steve Didier and his wife, Jessica for hosting the event.

The field contained many strong players from as far away as DE and PA, including such names as Mike Davis, Kevin West, Josh Brothers, Brett Stottlemyer, Fred Scott, Bob Davis, Alan Duty and Tony Long. The owner of Planet Pool, Mike Ricciardella was also there and finished in the money.

Congratulations to Josh Brothers who double-dipped the straight-shooting Brett Stottlemyer in the finals to walk away with first place!

Here are the results:

2nd. - Brett Stottlemyer - $275
3rd. - Tony Long - $175
